Back to School 2010

Aidan and Colin go to a school on a year round schedule, so they started school in mid-August this year.

Old pro.  Aidan's in 4th grade this year.

Colin, an excited Kindergartener!

Cade and Ellie started after Labor Day.  I'm really hoping we can get all three boys into the same school sometime this year.  Cade's been on the waiting list for almost 2 years now.  It will be nice to just be running to one school.
Cade's in 2nd grade.

Ellie just started preschool last week, and she LOVES it.

We made some fun Back to School cupcakes.  I think they turned out cute, and they were pretty easy.

With kiddos back to school, it's just Liam and me for a couple hours....ahhhh!

Your hair looks cute.

Why on earth are your children not at the same school?

Poor Cade -- he looks forlorn in his striped navy shirt instead of solid red or blue shirt. I hope he gets in the new school soon!

Cute cupcakes, and how wonderful that you have time with just Liam. Is Colin's kindergarten full day?

So siblings aren't "grandfathered" into the school Aidan goes to?!? Is it a seperate waiting list per child? That kind of stinks :( But it must be nice to have one on one time with the baby for a little while!

And I'm just as bad as you - my kids started school 3 weeks ago, and I still haven't finished my summer posts! Gotta get caught up...

Cade was accepted into Stride back in kindergarten, but then we lost our spots when we moved to UT. Both Aidan and Cade were on waiting lists, Aidan got in last fall. We're going on two years for Cade on the list! It's a total bummer, but they limit the class size at 20, and we just have to wait for someone to leave. He is at the top of the wait list, because he has siblings at the school. I keep hoping it'll happen soon. He's to the point he doesn't really want to go because all of his friends are at his current school. Such a bummer.

Yes, Colin is in all day kindergarten. It wears him out, and he usually comes home and has a melt down or two. But, he's doing great, and I'm so glad I don't have to pick him up in the middle of the day...too much driving.
