The Rocker **** (redbox, free movie monday) I remembered Tom mentioning he might want to see this movie, so I picked it up at redbox. I was definitely not expecting much from this one, and in fact the first ten minutes of the movie I kept thinking to myself how glad I didn't actually have to pay for it (at some point I signed up for redbox to send me a text code for free rentals on Mondays). I don't know if it was because I like School of Rock, silly teen movies, The Office (Rainn Wilson was so funny in this movie...and though his charcter was in many ways similar to Dwight Shrute, he was softer around the edges), or if it was just because my expectations were so low, that I liked this movie so much. It was pretty funny. I reccommend this one, but maybe it's best if you don't expect much-maybe you'll like it better.
Confessions of a Shopaholic **** (girls night chic flick) This was really cute-and I haven't laughed that hard in a movie for a while. It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it, as did the friends I saw it with. I would definitely see it again. I think I might even make Tom watch it with me sometime. I think he could stomach it. I haven't read the books, and hesitated seeing the movie because I would like to read the books, but one of the ladies I went with had read the books and said the movie was pretty different. I look forward to reading the books in the future. One question for this movie...is that her real hair? It is gorgeous.
Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason ** (dvr) I love my dvr, I don't think I could sit through this movie AND all the commercials. I've watched Bridget Jones on tv before, this one was similar to the first, I guess. It is an amusing story, but I can't really see what is so appealing about Miss Jones. And, frankly, I know it's the point of it all to have such a mousy looking girl, but I was having a hard time enjoying the plump, poorly dressed Renee Zellwenger. I kept hoping for a makeover scene. I don't know, the story is kinda fun, but I think I just watch because I like Colin Firth. (Will he ever escape Mr. Darcy? Do I want him to? Ewww, let's try to erase Mama Mia from our memories...)

You've convinced me. I'll go see Confessions of a Shopoholic. I read the first two books and they made me so anxious I haven't really been intereted in the movie... I hope Tom had fun snowshoeing... OVER VALENTINE'S WEEKEND. He owes you A LOT of romantic movie watching...
I started reading confessions and had to put it down. Too high stress, not entertaining. I hope the movie is better
Huh, I just read brenny's comment. You can tell we're sisters. :)
I know the money problems are CRAZY. I wonder how many people get stressed watching the movie...let me know girls.
