We loaded up and headed west for UEA weekend. Disneyland was our destination (along with everyone else in Utah...it got more and more crowded each day we were there). We had a great time! Here are some pictures of our fun:
As soon as we walked in the gates we saw Mickey Mouse and were first in line for a picture. Tom didn't appreciate how lucky this was, until he saw the long lines waiting for Mickey photo-ops the rest of the weekend.
It was a lot hotter than we expected (notice our red faces). It was in the 90s the whole time we were there - Yuck.
Teacups were a favorite for the kids. Ellie also loved the carousel and Dumbo. The boys loved all the big rides...Matterhorn, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, etc. I am impressed with them-no fear.
Staking our claim on our parade spot. We downloaded Ridemax (a software program that plans your rides, to minimize walking and waiting time) to help us make the most of our Disney experience. I highly recommend it...it helped us have a plan rather than walk around aimlessly. It also shared some great tips, including a terrific parade spot.
This is a picture of the line to get into the park on Thursday morning. I was so proud that we were so early...we were only about ten people back from the entrance.
Lots of waiting in line....
Ready for 3-D shows...in air conditioning!
My mom, dad, and brother, Michael came, too. It was fun to have them... and very helpful!
Cade and Aidan were so excited for the Indiana Jones ride - it was fun!
Brothers. These guys are tall enough to meet all the ride height requirements...and they did them all. Cade is one brave five year old...anytime he saw someone in front of him put their hands up, he would too-even on the big Screamin' roller coaster.
After the first day...we decided a stroller for Colin would be helpful. He loved it!
Ellie did a lot of stroller napping.
Yikes! Suckers!?! Oma....
Brothers
Look how high!
This picture seems to capture the fun and magic...it's great to be a kid!
Sweet Elle-belle
It was an exhausting vacation. I really pushed them hard...arrive early, leave late, go-go-go. We had a blast though!
Instead of going straight home (because Tom and I are total masochists...extending an already long drive with four kids) we drove through Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. We are looking forward to going back because we couldn't make it to Cedar Breaks. It was beautiful.
All-in-all we had a terrific family vacation! I can hardly wait to start making plans for our next adventure!

I agree with Jacqui -- you look very cute! Sounds like a fun family vacation. I love how you went online to maximize your time while in the park.
What a cute group. Was it really in the 90s in October? Ugh! Glad you had fun!
so fun! i'm jealous! however, we've learned- when a kid(s) is involved it's not longer a vacation- it's a family trip! :)
Looks like a blast! Glad it was a success. I love the brothers picture. :)
