My review
I LOVED this book!!!! For those who haven't read it, you must! I can't wait to see what you think. It is sorta Willa Cather, My Antonia-ish with a Scarlett/Rhett type relationship, only not as sad and destructive. Plus, there's lots of action. It's crazy to think about what those pioneer women went through. Despite it being set 100 years ago, I felt I could really relate to so much of her life and emotions. It really makes me wonder what kind of pioneer I would have been. I just loved this character and the storyline. I think this book will be added to my favorites list, I just love it! I am looking forward to reading the sequel, although I don't expect it to be as good...sequels never are.

I replied to your comment on Good Reads, but I completely loved this book! You'll have to let me know what you think of the next too in the series.
Turner wrote anoter book outside of the series and I liked that one too. Not as good as These, but good. I can't remember the name right now, but I reviewed it on goodreads...
I meant to wrie "two in the series" not "too in the series"
Sorry. Dang spellchecker.
I loved this book, too. I've convinced my book club to read it in the next few months. I always worry about the books I choose, but your post gave me courage that others might like it, too.
Jodi Z gave me this book years ago, but she told me I couldn't read it until Mike wasn't deployed. So, I am waiting. But I have only heard good things about the book.
I loved this book as well. Find me on Goodreads!
